11th Hour Mock Election

The 11th hour mock election held in UNTV Station last April 29 (Thursday) was done to ensure the success of the May 10 national elections.
The trial data submission was successfully done.
The election results showed from precinct to municipal canvassers and to the central server.
UV lamps showed on how to identify the original ballot.

Teachers must get 60% Passing Grade...

A 60% passing grade is required for certification.

In March, the DOST certifiers will administer written and practical examinations on PCOS operation to 160,000 teachers the day after their BEI training.

Passers will be certified right after the exam, and will be assigned to each of the 76,340 clustered precincts, where there should be at least one certified IT-capable member of the BEI.

"If they (teachers) fail the written exam, they will still be allowed to proceed to the practical. If they pass the practical, we will give them another chance at the written," Dela Peña said.

Dunn Celestian, a computer programmer at the DOST central office, said he expects many teachers to pass the certification exam, as long as they openly embrace the new system. "Dapat, open sila sa changes na nangyari. Dapat, meron din silang kahit konting kaalaman lang sa IT," he said, adding that operating the poll machines is very easy.

MOCK ELECTION BUKAS ISASAGAWA.....

Isasagawa bukas (Enero 6, 2010) ng Comelec ang Mock Election sa mga ilang piling lugar sa ating bansa. Ilan rito ay sa Taguig, Quezon City, Cebu City at Davao ayon kay Commissioner Gregorio Larrazabal.

Camarines Sur niyanig ng magnitude 6 na lindol

Ang lalawigan ng Camarines Sur kaninang bandang alas-2:28 ng madaling araw. Nakadama ng pagyanig na may lakas na magnitude 6.0 na umabot sa isang minuto ang lindol na nagsimula lamang sa mahinang pagyanig na naramdaman naman din sa lungsod ng Naga. Ayon kay Jaypee Fallarme ng Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) Manila, naitala sa intensity 4 ang lindol na tectonic in origin. Ang epicenter nito ay nasa Virac sa islang probinsiya ng Catanduanes na may lalim na 10 kilometers sa ilalim ng lupa. Samantala, wala namang naiulat na nasaktan o nasira sa mga kagamitan sa lalawigan ng Camarines Sur.
